Delete My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 20

Chapter 20

The mockery online gradually shifted in tone. At first, it was just netizens stirring up drama for entertainment, but then someone actually received the money. Once the news spread, the entire internet went wild.

Annabelle Whitmore scrolled through her phone with a cold smirk. The overwhelming flood of missing person notices irritated her. Hadn’t she made her stance clear by erasing her identity?

She hadn’t even bothered to finish reading Sebastian Kingsley’s apology letter. If he knew it would come to this, why did he act that way in the first place? She would’ve preferred it if he’d just admitted he’d fallen out of love—at least then they could’ve parted amicably.

"Cheating on me physically but still loving me in your heart?" She scoffed. "Fine. Let’s play a little game."

She carefully selected a few photos and had them delivered to Sebastian through an intermediary. Timing it perfectly, she boarded a flight to America.

Across the ocean, Sebastian’s hands trembled as he held the photos. "She’s giving me a chance!" He immediately booked the fastest flight to France.

Two planes took off simultaneously, heading in opposite directions.

The sea breeze in France was gentle, but Sebastian’s palms were slick with nervous sweat. He adjusted his suit and tie repeatedly, terrified of appearing even slightly imperfect.

The sunflower bouquet glowed brilliantly under the sunlight. Wind chimes tinkled softly, and the boutique hotel looked like something out of a fairy tale. But he had no time to admire any of it.

Knock, knock, knock—

The sound echoed through the empty hallway. He had rehearsed his apology speech countless times in his head.

No answer.

"Maybe she’s still asleep." He knocked again, harder this time.

Silence.

A cold sweat trickled down his back. A sudden, ominous dread gripped him. With shaking hands, he dialed his assistant. "Find Annabelle’s flight records—now!"

The assistant’s reply sent him plunging into an icy abyss: "Mr. Kingsley... Ms. Whitmore flew to America this morning..."

The sunflowers slipped from his grasp, petals scattering across the floor.
