Ex Wins $4M, Dumps Me, Then I Pull Up in My Bugatti and Flip Him the Bird

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

The stream's viewership skyrocketed to 100,000, with everyone watching the trainwreck unfold.

My phone buzzed—Chase.

I picked up, keeping my voice casual. “What’s up, lucky guy?”

He was practically yelling. “You were there when I bought the ticket, right? I won $4 million, didn’t I?”

I shrugged, not missing a beat. “Yeah, I was there. But you bought a ticket for the 381st draw. The numbers you picked were for the 380th draw.”

He snapped. “I wanted to tell you, but you told me not to call.”

“Oh, and by the way,” I added, “you still owe me $50 for the ticket.”

The chat exploded:

“Wait, he didn’t even pay for the ticket?!”

“Bruh, I’d want to disappear if that were me.”

“Messing up the draw is one thing, but not paying your ex? That’s next level!”

Chase’s face twisted as he pieced it together. “You knew the whole time, didn’t you? You just wanted to watch me crash and burn!”

He hurled his phone against the wall, and in the process, smashed the ticket machine.

The stream ended, but it was already too late. Other viewers started streaming the chaos. In minutes, the video went viral, racking up over a million views.

Savannah, now looking like a ghost, watched as her dreams of being a rich wife crumbled. She yanked off her veil and slapped Chase across the face. “You lying scumbag! I only stayed with you because I thought you were rich! Now look at you—pathetic!”

Chase’s mom immediately jumped to his defense. “You’re the real liar here! My son spent all that money on you, and this is how you repay him? Everything you're wearing, he bought for you!”

And just like that, Savannah and Chase’s mom went at it. Full-on brawl. Chase, of course, stood with his mom.

Savannah screamed, “How could you take your mom’s side? You’re such a mama’s boy!”

“I can’t believe I was stupid enough to think you actually won $4 million!” she yelled, her clothes torn and mascara running down her face.

It was total chaos. The lottery clerk demanded Chase pay for the broken ticket machine. The jeweler showed up, asking for $100,000 for the custom jewelry that couldn't be returned. And the Grand Palm Hotel came knocking, demanding payment for the engagement party.

But Chase? He had absolutely nothing left.

Thinking he'd hit the jackpot, he’d already blown through his savings and racked up a mountain of credit card debt.
