Chapter 7 Kidnapped
Chapter 7 Kidnapped
"Jules, you will stay in the old house for two days to keep me company." Mrs. Falcone said to Jules.
She knew that she has already offended Jacob, and did not want to stoop to the level of the Vaughn family for the sake of her adoptive parents, so now, she had to rely on Mr. Falcone.
After all, Mr. Falcone didn't seem to have any animosity toward her.
"I don't understand, why do you want me to accompany you?"
"Well, since Jacob kid 'bullied' you, he should be responsible for you. Also, I want to know you better." Mr. Falcone said, "I have also appointed some experts to take care of your parents. I believe they will be well soon."
Jules was grateful when she heard that, but she knew she couldn't return her kindness. Yet, she could only use the only fact that she saved Jacob to keep consoling herself, as she saved Jacob, Mr. Falcone saved her foster parents.
It was even now.
"Thank you, Grandma." She sincerely thanked her.
The next few days, Jules spent her time to accompany Mr. Falcone practiced Tai Chi in the morning, trimming in the flower garden in the morning, and making pastries or playing chess in the afternoon. She had a good time there, but time always flies.
One day morning, Jules accompanied the old lady to dine before packing her things. Before she left, she gave a slight jowl to Mrs. Falcone, "Grandma, I'm leaving. Thank you for your hospitality."
Mrs. Falcone smiled, "My, being with you makes me feel much younger."
In front of Jules, Mr. Falcone did not have a trace of matriarchal majesty, more like a grandmother's affection.
"Grandma will always be young at heart!"
"Well, remember to come and see me, when you have time."
"...Okay grandma." Jules responded awkwardly, as it's not up to her to decide whether she can return.
After leaving the old house, Jules arrived at Boston downtown. Passing by a pharmacy, she said to the driver, "Stop here, please. I'll get off here."
Before she left, she told the driver, who was one of Falcone's drivers. "Thank Grandma for me, uncle."
"Will do. Have a good day, Miss. Bennett." The driver responded before leaving.
Jules trotted into the pharmacy with her satchel on her back, and the pharmacist immediately came up and asked, "Hello, how may I help you?"
"Get me a box of the best contraceptives pills." Jules said to the pharmacist in a hurry.
Since the last few days had been spent in the Falcone's, she did not have the opportunity to leave, and naturally could not buy some medicine. Until now, she was rushed to buy the medicine to eat to be good, to prevent being pregnant.
The pharmacist took a box of pills and handed it to her, "This works best within 72 hours."
Jules took the medicine before she was stunned, "What do you mean by 72 hours?"
"Yes, the sooner the better. It's useless to take the medicine after 3 days."
"Only three days?"
"Of course."
Jules was dumbfounded.
She had never used this before and naively thought that the contraceptives pill was good for a week. No wonder Mr. Falcone kept her in the Falcone family for three days!
Walking out of the pharmacy with red eyes, Jules started strolling the streets, before she picked herself up.
Well, it would be too late to cry over spilled milk, Jules thought. Better she find a way to move on&
At this point, a car on the side of the road suddenly stopped in front of her. Without waiting for Jules to react, she was already stuffed into the limo.
"...Hey, you!!! Who are you? Why are you grabbing me??!!" She struggled a few times and warned, "Stop the car and hurry up and let me out, or I'll call the police!!!!"
"Miss. Bennett might as well be honest and not get herself into trouble." Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the driver's seat.
Jules tilted, and was shocked to find that the person in the driver's seat was Eric.
So, Jacob had someone kidnap her? Why?
She had just left the Falcone family when Jacob caught her, which was a little too quick.
"Eric, hurry up and stop the car or I'll call and tell Grandma."
"I'd advise Miss. Bennett to have a little self-awareness."
& What self-awareness? The self-knowledge of a willingness to die?
She thought that her parents were still in the Falcone family's hospital, so she didn't dare to make any more unnecessary struggles.
Ten minutes later, she was taken to the 38th floor of Nightclub, Jacob's private room.
"Boss, Miss. Bennett is here."
Jules clutching her satchel strap, looking at the working Jacob. His eyes focused on the computer, long bony fingers jumping on the keyboard. He was like a god high in the clouds, ruling all beings. Not to mention that he had the absolute beauty of the contours of the line, three-dimensional features, like the perfect craftsmanship of God, the beauty of the stunning, looking so flawless.
Jules couldn't help but look twice, before a cold voice sounded.
"Have you seen enough?" The man suddenly closed his computer, and put it on the table.
"...! Who, who is looking at you." Jules skimmed the corner of his mouth, "Narcisstic."
The man gazed at her with a harsh gaze, "You think you can be reckless in front of me because you want grandma to back you up?"
Faced with the powerful pressure that came over him, Jules gulped nervously, "No& no, absolutely not."
"That's a wimp, didn't you say that you were going to get pregnant with my child and marry me?"
This damn woman, how dare she provoke him!
Jules' face went pale, before she let out a bitter smile, couldn't help but to step back a bit, "Don't be angry! I was just joking that day!"
She kept backing up, but Jacob grabbed her collar, "I, Jacob, hate to be threatened, and you did it."
Sensing the man's deathly glare, Jules' heart nearly jumped out of her throat in shock, "Master Falcone, that was all a joke on me!"
"Whether you're kidding or not, it is not something you can prove with only words."
"...Then how does that have to be proven?" Jules, who was scared to death, stammered.
Jacob raised an eyebrow, "You really want to prove that your words in the Falcone family were all a joke?"
