My Three Elite Brothers Shattered After My Death

Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Sophia's eyes burned with fury as she spat at Alexander:

"All I ever wanted was your love. But what did you give me in return?"

"You locked Evelyn in that dungeon and erased her from your memory."

"Even if she'd survived those three days, the psychological scars would've destroyed her mind!"

Alexander crumpled to his knees, his face buried in trembling hands as gut-wrenching sobs wracked his body.

Sophia then turned her venomous gaze toward Nathaniel and Benjamin.

"You're all murderers. May justice find you!"

The two brothers sank to the floor, their anguished cries filling the room.

A victorious smirk twisted Sophia's lips.

Her triumph was short-lived. Without warning, Alexander sprang forward, his fingers closing around her throat. Nathaniel swung a bronze statue at her skull. Benjamin sank his teeth into her jugular.

The brothers' rage turned fatal within seconds.

When the servants brought out the silver urn containing ashes, the three men couldn't bear the truth. One by one, they ended their own lives.

As my brothers' souls separated from their bodies, the invisible chains holding me dissolved into nothingness.

At first they looked terrified, but when they saw me, their faces lit up with desperate hope. They tried to rush forward, mouths forming pleas for forgiveness.

An unseen force froze them in place.

Memories surfaced - of our parents' funeral, when vultures circled our crumbling empire. Of the countless times I'd been used as leverage against my brothers.

That particular kidnapping haunted me most. I'd been nine years old, terrified in that dark warehouse.

My brothers had stormed in like avenging angels. Alexander had cradled me so tightly I could barely breathe, his voice raw:

"Evelyn, we'll destroy anyone who touches you. You're all we have left of them. Our only family."

That night, they'd taken turns holding me until sunrise.

Afterward, I'd worked twice as hard in school, perfected my manners, all to be the perfect little sister who never caused trouble.

How naive I'd been to believe their words.

Now, watching their spectral hands reach for me, I turned my back without hesitation, feeling myself rise toward the light.

"I renounce you as my brothers!"

"Not just in this life - but for every lifetime to come!"
