Sloppy Beatrice
Sloppy Beatrice
"Really? But I've only been here for two days, I've been planning this vacation since six months ago, you definitely don't know what it's like to have to save up just for the holidays!" raved Beatrice objected to leaving Europe so soon.
Luke took a deep breath, he massaged his left temple slowly.
"Okay, we'll stay for a week then head back to New York, deal?" he said he had no choice. At least he knew he wasn't dealing with a woman he would fall in love with him easily because the last thing he wanted was to have a relationship with anyone.
Beatrice grimly nodded, a week was too short for her, there would be a lot of goals she would miss.
"Okay, see you tonight," she said as she wrapped the scarf around her neck.
Luke frowned,
"Where are you going?" he asked curiously.
"Go on vacation because that's what I came here for!" Beatrice said curtly, trying her best to get rid of the image of Luke's face sinking between her thighs last night.
Without saying anything, Luke rushed to get his coat and put it on quickly.
"I'm in!" said him lightly.
Beatrice who had almost stepped out of the room stopped her steps. She turned around and looked at him with a frown, "Do you have no other purpose than to follow me everywhere?!" she snapped in annoyance.
Luke shrugged, "You know the answer, don't you? I'm just here to get out of trouble."
"Then you can stay in this hotel and enjoy your time!" she said, pulling the doorknob, about to close it.
"Why don't you want me to come with you?!" snapped Luke out of patience.
Beatrice rubbed her face with her right hand, "What happened last night wasn't enough to stop you? What if we get drunk again and we..." she was too embarrassed to even continue her words.
Luke was silent for a moment "I promise it won't happen again!" he said earnestly. But stupidly, Beatrice felt disappointed when Luke said those words to her. She let out a long sigh, she had to forget everything about her one-night stand with him last night. After all, she did that because she wanted to, she knew she couldn't blame him...
"Okay, but you have to pay for all accommodation and transport," she said casually.
Luke snorted then shrugged his shoulders in approval. After that, they both went down the stairs together. Secretly in their head, they were thinking about what they did last night because what happened that night was too beautiful to forget.
"So where are you going?" Luke asked when they were outside the inn.
"Gieethoorn," Beatrice replied curtly, deliberately turning her gaze to houses that were covered with snow instead of looking into his eyes.
"What? We should rent a car to make it easier!" said Luke, who wasn't a fan of public transportation.
It's your call, you're the one who's going to pay for it anyway," she said with a little smile.
Luke took out his cell phone and called someone while walking behind Beatrice who was busy taking videos of her own feet.
After a while, "We'll be waiting for the car in front of the Coffee Shop called Regenboog, it's on the side of the road," he said casually.
"Okay," she shrugged. "Um, I think I need to stop at the shop nearby!" said her lightly.
"For what?"
"I need some snacks!"
"It's just one hour away! Why would you need snacks?" said Luke impatiently.
"It's a trip! We need snacks for a trip! Give me your money!"
"What? My money? No!" he shook his head.
"Then take your car, I'm going alone!" she shrugged and walked faster ahead of him.
"Oh, this girl! Really! Okay fine! Take this!" he gave her his black card.
Beatrice rolled her eyes,
"Black card? Really? I just going to buy potato chips, Give me some cash!" she stretched out her hand.
Luke let out a long sigh, "I don't have any cash, use your money!"
Beatrice snorted, "You're such a useless future husband!" snapped her irritably. She stomped her foot and headed to the small shop while Luke just sneered behind her.
Minutes later she came out of the shop with a paper bag full of snacks in her left hand while her right hand was busy holding a bottle of coke. Luke just shook his head in disbelief, "Let's go!" he said impatiently.
"This is the reason why I don't want you to come with me! You complained too much!" muttered Beatrice casually.
"What?! The only reason why I always complained was because of your abnormal behavior!" he replied annoyingly.
"Oh whatever, it's your habit, isn't it? Threw the blame on other people," she mocked with a sneer on her face.
"This girl!" Luke clenched his fist, feeling so annoyed but couldn't do anything. They walked side by side to the Regenboog Cafe.
Just as they arrived at Regenboog Cafe, the black Ashton Martin showed up. The driver handed over the key to Luke and he hurriedly sat behind the steering wheel while Beatrice was standing still, watching that expensive car in amazement.
"Shit! I always wanted to ride this kind of car..." she muttered to herself.
"Are you gonna get in? Or are you gonna stay in there forever?!" shouted Luke with a frown on his temple. Beatrice smiled from ear to ear then she jumped into her seat.
"Engine start!" said her with a deep voice.
He turned to her, squinted.
"What? James Bond movie? Don't say you never watched it?" said Beatrice nonchalantly. Luke just let out a long sigh and started to move the car on the cold road of Amsterdam.
"Can I play some music?" asked her with a pleading look. Luke moved his eyebrows as the answer. She picked up some song and before long Patsy Cline's voice echoed throughout the car singing the Walking After Midnight song.
"Is this really your taste? Or you just trying so hard to impress me?" mumbled Luke without turning his gaze.
Beatrice snorted,
"Impress you? What for? Oh really Luke stop being a dick, you're not that handsome!" she replied in annoyance. She took a bag of potato chips and tried hard to open it, but what happened was chaos. The chips were scattered everywhere, on the dashboard, on the carpet, and on Luke's seat.
"BEA!"
