The Dilemma of Parker

Chapter23

It was a long 5 hours of Parker going over and over what had happened. She had needed to have several breaks when it got to much for her. She had almost left the station after the second break because she didn't want to do it anymore. Richard and William had comforted her and Leanne convinced her to not let her step father win. When she was finished she just wanted to go back to the hotel and sleep. She was drained physically and emotionally. William had gone with Parker while Leanne and Richard stayed at the police station to find out what would happen now.

The police commissioner informed both Richard and Leanne that Mr Jones would be arrested. Richard wanted him publicly humiliated and convinced the commissioner to arrest Tyson Jones at the funeral of Tamia in front of everyone. He asked that the charges be read out loud, loud enough for all to hear. He wanted to make them all suffer for what they had done.

Parker headed straight into the bathroom when they returned to the hotel. William and Richard wanted to stay at their house but understood Parker didn't want to incase her brothers saw her. They had rented a serviced apartment so each of them had there own room, with Jaylan sharing with Parker. Parker hadn't even seen Jaylan in the bedroom as she locked herself in the bathroom.

Jaylan was concerned when he saw Parker hadn't even seen him. He knew she was struggling and tried to get into the bathroom. Parker stripped and got into the shower trying to drown out the sobs she had held in for so long. She cried for the pain she had suffered in childhood, she cried for how alone she felt, she cried for the loss of her family and most of all she cried because she never felt good enough to be accepted into the family.

Jaylan was banging on the door the minute he heard the heart breaking sobs coming from Parker. He wanted to go in and comfort her so she wasn't alone. William came running the minute he heard the banging and heard Jaylan screaming at Parker to open the door. "What the fuck happened?" William yelled. "I don't know she locked herself in there the minute she got here. She didn't even see me and now she is locked in there alone sobbing" Jaylan replied.

William began to call out to his sister begging her to open the door but her sobs just got louder. "I'll call the front desk and see if they can get us in and then I'll call dad" William stated leaving the room to get his phone.

Parker was getting louder and it was breaking Jaylan's heart. He wasn't going to wait and kicked the door down causing Parker to scream and huddle further into the corner of the shower. William heard the door smash and went running. He had hung up on the front desk who were not being helpful and started calling his dad. "What the fuck?" William asked seeing the door had been kicked open.

Jaylan turned the water in the shower off and sat down next to Parker before pulling her into his lap. "I got you Parks" Jaylan whispered. Parker continued to sob but buried her face into Jaylan's neck. William popped his head into the bathroom seeing Jaylan holding Parker. Jaylan pointed to the bathrobe that was hanging on the door and William handed it to him. Jaylan wrapped Parker in the bathrobe.

William wasn't happy with Jaylan seeing his sister naked but he also knew his sister needed him at the moment. William continued to ring his father, finally on the fourth attempt richard answered the phone. Parker was still sobbing loudly and it was a desperate sounding cry.

"What do you want Will?" Richard asked before he heard the sobs. "What's happened?" Richard rushed out. "Dad, it's Parker. She locked herself in the bathroom and broke down. Jaylan kicked the door in to get to her and she hasn't stopped crying since we got back here. I don't know what to do" William rushed out. Richard wanted to get to his daughter and quickly. "I am on my way" Richard replied before rushing out of the police station and heading back to the apartment.

Richard burst into the apartment 15 minutes later calling out to Parker. Parker had dozed off on Jaylan while crying. Jaylan had held Parker tightly trying to reassure her everything would be ok. William walked out of Parker's room to see his dad frantically looking for them. "Dad, she has just fallen asleep" William stated looking devastated. Richard headed into the room and not spotting his daughter. "She is in the bathroom" William explained.
