The Silent Womb's Revenge

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

"Impossible... Sophia wouldn't do this to me..."

Ethan Sullivan's fingers clenched the documents until his knuckles turned white.

He remembered Sophia's gentle smile when she handed him the papers. She was always like that—even her anger carried a softness.

The doctor's voice on the phone cut through him like a blade: "Mrs. Sullivan did undergo an abortion procedure yesterday."

"Did she... say anything?" Ethan's voice was raw.

"Any updates?" he roared into the phone.

His assistant, Zhou, stammered: "After Mrs. Sullivan transferred in Country A... the trail went cold."

Ethan collapsed to his knees.

He had sent Sophia 99+ messages—apologies, pleas, and finally just the meaningless repetition of "Sophia."

Online outrage exploded. Sullivan Group's stocks plummeted. Yet he only curled up in the nursery, clutching a phone that would never ring.

The door creaked open.

Ethan staggered forward. "Sophia—"
