Chapter 34: Shopping Surprises
Chapter 34: Shopping Surprises
Mila's pov
Robert and I walked for farther down the hall arm in arm but not for long. After I noticed a strange look from a woman in my department, I felt embarrassed. She had her mouth twisted and chin raised in judgment. My cheeks burned as I wriggled out of his grasp.
"Why'd you leave me?" he teased me.
Whispering, I said, "Vivian is looking at us in a weird way. I don't like it." I wanted to hide my face, but Robert kept me talking.
"Who cares? What's the worst that can happen?" he asked me gently.
"I guess nothing catastrophic, but I don't want to start any rumors for you."
Robert laughed and said, "I don't mind. I'm single, anyway and I'm pretty sure everyone here knows that."
"True," I said, and we chuckled. "So, did you get my text?"
"About the plan? Yes, I did. We can go to a shop to buy some kind of sharp outfit that would make Everett notice you but still have to stay away." I blushed more profusely now. Robert liked to compete, apparently.
"Oh, that's not necessary," I said, waving him away. "Besides, I'm not looking to anger him. I just want him off my back."
"Leave Everett to me. I know exactly how to talk him down from the fantasy land he's in. I can teach him."
I pinned my eyebrows in concern, but his confident grin made me trust him.
"Okay, if you think you can do it, I won't stop you."
Once the day was over, Robert took me to buy something new. When we walked through the door of the store, I saw a familiar face at the counter. Instantly, her ruby red lip-sticked mouth turned upward in a bright grin.
"Hi Mila!"
"Hi Jen," I said, smiling back. "How's business today?"
"Can't complain," she said with a belly laugh. "How have you been?"
"Doing well. I'm interning at the Williams company."
"Wow, moving up in the world. Congratulations," she said, with an encouraging tap to my shoulder. "So, I guess you're here to pick something out for yourself."
"Yes, it has been a while since I've received anything from this shop."
"I'll see if I can find something for you. Take a look around in the meantime." She waddled over to the back and began flipping through hangers.
Robert glanced at me and asked, "Do you come here often?"
"Not often,” I began. “It's Mr. Williams' store. His family is friends with mine. He used to send me gifts from here.”
"I didn't know this was his store," he said in surprise. "He's prolific, huh?"
"With business, most definitely," I said, trying to hide my smile.
Though we searched around I wasn't satisfied. Everything was prim and proper. Noticing that I was having an issue finding something, Jen came around the corner with a pile of outfits.
"Here, Mila. Try these on.”
I couldn't fault her for bringing clothes that were my usual style. Mr. Williams had given me something from this store every birthday but three years before, he said I wasn't a child anymore and stopped. Jen was familiar with what Mr. Williams sent me and had collected outfits in the same style. Unfortunately, I wasn't the same person I used to be, and these garments weren't up to my satisfaction.
"I don't like those. I want these," I said in a huff and spitefully picked up a few miniskirts and a low-cut crimson V-neck sweater.
"Alright," Jen said with a tiny bit of reservation. "Follow me." Once she unlocked the fitting room, I slipped in. First, I wanted to try the sweater; it fit perfectly over my firm tits. My cleavage was showing gratuitously. Now was time to pick my skirt. As I tried each one on, I came out to show Robert. Some were so revealing, he averted his eyes.
"What do you think?" I asked him. "I just need a normal opinion. You're a guy so tell me." Daring to peek at me, his mouth dropped open.
"You look great," he finally said. "Everett isn’t going to be able to ignore you.” I hoped I hadn't made him feel uncomfortable, but I wasn’t happy with what I had now. I wanted the naughtiest skirt of all. It was a mini made of black lycra, hugging my every inch below the waist. There wasn't much left to the imagination as I stretched it over my body. Once I tried to cinch it, I ran into some trouble with the zipper.
Opening the door, I searched for someone for assistance.
Noting that Robert had gone to the front, I was about to ask Jen to help when I heard her laughter. It sounded like the two of them were talking. Helplessly, I stood wondering what to do but then I saw a figure. Before I could react, Mr. Williams pushed me into the changing room, locking us in.
Gasping in shock, I whispered, "What are you doing?"
"What does it look like?" he asked with a sly smile. "I'm helping you with this zipper."
Feeling his thick warm hands slinking up the back of my tight skirt made my eyes flutter. Instantly, I felt my temperature go up and sweat began to collect on my neck. He turned me around as he zipped it, sliding his hands up my lower back. Once it was up, he spread his hands on my ass and squeezed.
I couldn't resist him, and he damn well knew it.
