Chapter 22 Blake, Come Out To See Me!

"Sherry, no matter how Astrid is, that's just a four-year-old kid and your brother's kid!" Felix sighed slightly.

"You also think I'm wrong, don't you?" Sherry was crying with the grievance.

Felix didn't say anything. He smiled and rubbed her soft hair, "Sherry, you shouldn't be as sarcastic as you were just now!"

Felix turned around and left. He had to go to the hospital to see how Carina was doing.

Carina was taken to Ledger's hospital. When Felix arrived, Blake was standing alone outside the emergency room.

"Blake, how is she?"

Blake did not say anything. He just walked over to the window. He picked up a cigarette and smoked it. His eyes seemed to be getting darker and darker in the misty mist. No one could guess his mind.

"Since we've come to the hospital, we can get the paternity test done, by the way."

"Huh," Blake said in a cold voice.

The emergency room lights went out, and the doctor came out. He saw Blake and said respectfully, "The girl is nothing serious, just stimulated to faint."

Blake relentlessly didn't say anything but just gave a light humph, "Dr Stephen, draw blood for the paternity test."

"No problem, but could you wait until the child recovers?" Dr Stephen said.

"Why?" Blake frowned and asked indifferently.

"The child has a congenital complex heart disease. She fainted from the stimulation, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the heart. We can wait for her to recuperate for two days, and then I will arrange to draw blood for identification. Do you think it is okay?" Dr Stephen answered honestly.

Dr Stephen was still in fear. Thanks to the child coming in time, if another half hour late, perhaps she would die. If she died, he must have had a big problem!

Blake could no longer calm down when hearing these words, and his eyes squinted. He looked at Carina Noelle, who was lying on the bed. She was only four years old. How could she get such a disease?!

At this moment, this handsome man finally failed to restrain his emotions and asked with a shudder, "She will die?"

Dr Stephen shook his head, "Not for now. But we need to replace her heart as soon as possible and try not to stimulate her. Her body can not withstand it!"

Blake waved his hand and instructed Dr Stephen to push Carina into the VIP room while he stood at the window, looking out at the night sky as if he could not see the end.

The following day, Astrid returned to the city where she grew up, but she did not have time to recall anything. She directly took a taxi to the Ledger family's villa. She only wanted to see Carina.

That's her life, her only reason to live!

Astrid rang the doorbell, and the one who came to open the door was Thompson, an old housekeeper of the Ledger’s residence. Naturally, he knew Astrid and had watched her growing up.

"Miss Noelle, you've come out? Since you're out, live a good life and don't return to Mr. Ledger!"
