Chapter 24 Ungrateful!
Chapter 24 Ungrateful!
Astrid couldn't help laughing when Blake said Carina was his daughter.
She did not give up in the dark time for five years, no matter how difficult it was. Even she lost her hands. She thought that even though Blake hated her, he would consider their love and save their baby.
She made so many calls, but he didn't answer once! Not any once!
Ultimately, her baby died in her arms in that cold winter.
If it wasn't for the promise that Anne would live well, and if it weren't for the fact that there was still Carina, she would have died long ago in that dark and dirty prison.
What qualifications did he have to say that Carina was his daughter?
Blake deserved to die alone and grow old alone!
Astrid laughed with tears in her eyes and said with a tender smile, "Is Mr. Ledger's brain broken? Are you sure that Carina is your daughter? It's not your Mr. Ledger's temperament to recognize another’s daughter!" Then she stared at the man with a livid face and suddenly realized, "Could it be that Mikayla Harlem has done too much crime and can't even give birth to a child for you? That's why you are so hungry that you even want to rob a murderer's daughter?"
Blake was agitated by her and snarled, "Astrid, how dare you?!"
Astrid was not afraid and sneered as she looked at the unparalleled handsome man in front of her. The man was no longer the handsome young man she was obsessed with.
"Blake, it's been seventeen years since you and I first met in my old house, right? I gave you all my love and youth. I thought that even if you didn't love me anymore, at least you would believe me. But those five years have made me understand that some people are ungrateful dogs, and it has also made me understand that love is useless!"
Astrid said that the man she was talking about was not someone she had loved for so many years, as if he was just a stranger.
"Don't tell me that Mr. Ledger still have affection for me, for the murderer, and you want to renew our unique relationship." She tilted her head and looked at the man in front of her. Her eyes were cold, like a pool of stagnant water.
When Blake heard her words, his indifferent face changed. He reached out to squeeze Astrid's neck and smiled coldly, "Astrid, who taught you to be so mean?"
Astrid felt cold all over her body, but she raised her eyes and looked directly at Blake. She said with a tender smile, "Thanks to Mr. Ledger's good training. Without your brutality, how could I be today?"
Blake shuddered and flew into a rage.
When he met her in the Emporio Club, he didn't have time to observe Astrid after she was released from prison. Now that she was standing before him, he knew Astrid had changed!
She became unfamiliar to him.
Astrid loved to laugh in his memory. Her eyes were like crescent moons when she smiled, but her bright smiling face was so blurred in his mind that he could no longer find a trace.
"Blake! Listen, Carrie is not your daughter. Please give her back!"
As soon as these words came out, Blake suddenly became gloomy. He took Astrid's hand and went inside...
