Chapter 32 The Thing That Has To Guard Even If Lose Life!

"You wouldn't," Astrid said softly as she raised her eyes to meet his, "I know you wouldn't. If you were that kind of man, the last time you saw me being bullied by Mr. Umber at the Emporio Club, you wouldn't have stepped in to help! "

"So, you're betting on that?" Roger raised his eyebrows.

Astrid smiled faintly, "Sort of." After a pause, she added, "But I won the bet, didn't I?"

"And what if you lose?" Roger asked again.

Astrid was slightly stunned, but her almond eyes looked out the window into the dark night sky. Roger's words were right. What if she lost?

There was nothing that she could withstand a bet!

She didn't have any capital for gambling. After all, they had even met only once!

It was just that she'd rather lose the bet than bow to Blake.

"If I lose the bet, it's just sleeping with you!" Astrid laughed, "Because I have nothing to lose, I have nothing to fear!" Looking at Roger’s puzzled look, she added, "Mr. Adams, do you have something to guard even if you lose your life? If there is, you will understand why I have to gamble!"

Roger gazed at her for a long time. The blue moonlight shone in and spilt on her face, which was beautiful.

The thing that she had to guard even if she needed to lose her life?

"What does Blake have on you?" Roger asked softly. After all, looking at her nature, if there was not something very important being held by Blake, she would never give in easily.

Noelle Family?

No...Noelle's family had already expelled her five years ago, and Blake didn't lay a hand on the Noelle family!

So what was it?

Astrid looked at Roger and spoke lightly, "My daughter."

At this time, in the hall downstairs, the banquet was almost done. Many people had already left. Blake and Felix had not yet left, and the two had drunk a lot of wine.

Astrid, who had been brought upstairs by Roger, had also not yet come down.

"Mr. Ledger, why didn’t you greet me when you arrived?" A man stumbled over and sat down opposite Blake. That was Andy Roland, who usually had some dealings with Felix. But he came at a bad time.

Felix saw Blake's face take on a ghastly expression, so he replied for him, "just saw you and Miss Clergue talking. We are not good to interrupt you."

"Then..."

Andy smiled, and he was about to explain to speak with Blake, but he saw Blake and Felix's eyes all looked at the two people slowly walking over there. With a smile on her face, Astrid snuggled in Roger's arms. The two looked like a great match.

The two walked up to Blake. Astrid still smiled while Roger opened his mouth, "She is indeed good, thanks to Mr. Ledger's kindness. If there is anything to cooperate with me in the future, say. It is a favour that I owe you."

Blake did not say anything. He stared at Astrid, who was smiling like a flower at others. The nameless fire that was suppressed began to rise again.

He had wanted to humiliate her, but now he seemed to be the one who had lost his manners!

Felix watched the scene from the sidelines and spoke cautiously, "Are you okay, Blake?"

"What can happen to me?" Blake indifferently said with a smile, but his eyes were full of anger, "Enjoy and have fun, Mr. Adams."
