Falling for My Ex's Roommate

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

"Lola..."

He seemed a bit helpless, but after all, he was young and vigorous, his eyes full of unwillingness to admit defeat.

"Just you wait."

"Don't beg for mercy. Crying won't help either."

For tonight's birthday party, Zack had invited a bunch of people as usual.

Olivia had dressed up especially for tonight.

The two of them sitting together naturally made a very eye-catching couple.

Olivia was delighted by the compliments from several girls.

She couldn't help but look at Zack, but he seemed a bit distracted.

"Zack."

Olivia called him several times before he finally came to his senses, "What's wrong?"

"It's getting late, and everyone's hungry."

"What's the rush? Not everyone's here yet."

"Who else is missing?"

"Yeah, who hasn't arrived?"

"Simon hasn't come yet."

"Oh, I remember now. Lola, Lola hasn't come either."

"Will Lola come?"

"On Zack's birthday, Lola wouldn't miss this kind of occasion..."

Zack suddenly interrupted everyone's words, "I didn't invite her."

"Even if she comes, I won't let her in."

"Zack, don't be angry. It's your birthday today."

Olivia quickly tried to soothe him gently, "Don't let an irrelevant person spoil the mood, right?"

"You're right."

Zack looked at his girlfriend beside him.

Olivia was truly very beautiful.

Lola was pretty too, but not in this kind of stunning, alluring way.

So at that time, he was attracted to Olivia at first sight.

But after pursuing and winning her over, he found that she was nothing special after all.

For nearly a month now, Lola hadn't been waiting for him at the bottom of the dorm building.

She hadn't been clinging to him to go to class together or to the cafeteria.

She had suddenly disappeared from his world.

Even when they occasionally ran into each other at school, she would turn away to avoid him.

Zack had to admit, he was very uncomfortable with this.

Yes, he attributed all of this to habit.

He was just not used to someone who had been revolving around him every day suddenly turning cold.

He wouldn't like Lola.

And he certainly wouldn't anger his elders for the sake of this fake heiress.

But after all, they had known each other for many years.

Zack thought, just for tonight.

If Lola couldn't resist and came back to find him.

He wouldn't even need her to humble herself and beg.

As long as she shed a few tears with red eyes.

He would always leave a place for her by his side.

The door of the private room was suddenly pushed open.

"Guess who I just saw?"

The guy who came in had a gossipy look on his face, but his gaze fell on Zack's face.

"Who is it? Stop keeping us in suspense."

"Yeah, who is it? It can't be Lola, right?"

"It really is Lola."

"Zack, we told you, Lola can't stay away from you."

"Look, she couldn't resist tonight, could she?"

Zack didn't say anything, but the gloomy expression on his face had obviously faded by half.

Olivia's expression changed, however. She lightly tugged on Zack's sleeve.

Looking a bit aggrieved, she said in a small voice,

"Zack, can you ask Lola to leave?"

"She's been chasing after you for so long, I feel really uncomfortable about it."

"Sure, then let her get lost."

Zack pinched Olivia's face, responding carelessly.

"Who are you telling to get lost?"

The half-closed door was pushed open, and Simon strode in.

His voice wasn't loud, but it was as weighty as metal striking the ground.

With an indescribable pressure.

The large room suddenly fell silent.

Because everyone saw that there was a girl following behind Simon.

And that girl was me.
