Today is my birthday and here I am, lying on bed." Sally blinked trying to win his sympathy and the trick worked as Gerrad sat beside her.

"What do you as a gift?"

He asked her who pouted.

"I don't want anything from you."

"Why not?" Gerrad sat on the bed looking at her who was pouting cutely but angrily.

"Because you are so mean. You.... you... I hate you."She could not find words to describe her anger towards him making him smile.

"But I have a gift for you."

"I don't want it." Sally replied while looking away. She was not going to forgive him that easily.

Gerrad took out a small box from the side drawer and open it to show her who was trying to look inside the box from the corner of her eye.

Seeing the necklace which had a small star inside, she quickly took the box from him and touched it.

"It's more beautiful than a diamond necklace."

"It's a diamond necklace."

Sally's eyes went wide and the box trembled in her hands but before it could fell down she grabbed it tightly.

"These are diamonds."

She confirmed from him who nodded but Sally gave it back to him quickly.

"It's so expensive. I can't take it."

Gerrad glared at her who did not want the gift while he spent a lot of time to find something for her.

"Take it." He ordered her while Sally shook her head.

"I can't take it. It will only give me anxiety........"

"I wonder where I put my gun."

"I will take it. I will take it."

Sally quickly took the box from his hand and smiled shyly. Gerrad saw her smiling and leaned to kiss her forehead. As he kissed, Sally was stunned over his sudden action and then she blushed and hid her face between her palms.

Gerrad knew his emotions when he heard about her running away and then he saw Robertson trying to kidnap her. That moment he knew what she was to him.......................

"Gerrad, I am so bored. I want to go outside."

Sally whined while not letting Gerrad to work. Finally he gave in and looked at her.

"Then go. I am not stopping you."

"Carry me." Sally ordered him as her foot was still in bad condition while Gerrad could only shook his head.

"Get well soon quickly so we could marry."

He unintentionally told her while Sally stared at him blankly.

"Did you just asked me for marriage?"

Gerrad looked at her who was staring at him without breaking eye contact.

"Don't you want to marry me?"

He questioned her while Sally quickly shook her head.

"No, no. I want to. I want to."

She excitedly told him with a face brighter than a light bulb while Gerrad felt relaxed.

Sally quickly tried to hug him but forgot about her foot. She fell back while holding her leg and whimpering like a kid.

"Ah, my foot.... ah... it's killing me.".Gerrad was stunned over what just happened.

He quickly took her in her embrace trying to coax her who now start shedding tears like a baby.

"I am fed up with your childish behavior." Gerrad scolded her but realized his mistake as she started crying.

"I am sorry, I am sorry." He tightened his hug trying to calm her down who was crying non stop.
