The Dilemma of Parker

Chapter10

Chapter10

Parker was not happy to be woken in the morning. She didn't have uni that day and had stayed up late with some of her mates thinking she had a day off. Matt had called her at 8am telling her she needed to get to the gadigal centre immediately, but didn't tell her why. She had grumbled the entire way to the centre.

Matt had been the one to speak with Richard, William, Leon, Jude and Tanner. He had turned Leon, Jude and Tanner away until Richard pleaded his case. He told Matt all about how he never knew Parker was his daughter until a year ago and how he had been searching for her since. William had wanted to beat Matt up as he remembered talking to him about Parker when they were calling different universities. "Look, I can't say if this Parker is at the uni due to privacy" Matt had argued until Richard and William both said they had seen her on zoom last night.

Leon, Jude and Tanner were annoyed that they were kicked out of the centre. They wanted to see Parker, but Matt refused to allow them in which only confirmed he knew Parker and what had gone down. "She is here somewhere" Leon had told his brothers and began scanning the area for his sister. Richard and William had continued to plead there case and eventually Matt had caved and called Parker.

"Matt I hate you" Parker called out as she entered the gadigal centre. "Parker" Matt said coming out of the room he was sitting in. "I am suppose to be sleeping, arsehole. This better be important" Parker stated crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at Matt. "Parks" William whispered seeing the girl he had always considered a sister in front of him.

Parker whipped around seeing William and was furious. "You have got to be kidding me" Parker yelled. She hadn't had her coffee and very little sleep so she was not happy. "I trusted you Matt" Parker fumed. "Parker, I wouldn't do this if it wasn't important. You need coffee before you tear someone's head off sis" Matt started steering Parker towards the kitchen. Parker grumbled but was lead towards coffee.

"Is she usually like this?" Richard asked as he and William followed Parker and Matt into the kitchen. "Listen here mister, it's my day off, I am suppose to be asleep but this arsehole called me. I haven't had coffee or breakfast so this is the me you get and shut up William" Parker spat seeing William went to speak. William closed his mouth and glared at Parker, he was just going to introduce Parker to there dad. He didn't like this Parker.

Leon had heard Parker and marched straight towards the room he had heard her. Jude and Tanner followed, all three couldn't wait to see Parker and bring her home. "Parker" Leon called seeing his sister making coffee. Leon stepped into the kitchen followed by Jude and Tanner. "Oh hell to the no" Parker yelled throwing her hands up.

"You three were kicked out" Matt stated pointing his finger at the three men who were now standing in the kitchen. "What the hell is going on?" Parker yelled glaring at Matt. "Parks, we just want to talk to you" William said softly trying to stop the inevitable blow up. "About what Will? How long did it take for you to tell them about the ticket to Melbourne?" Parker asked sipping her coffee slowly. She felt a little more human with coffee in her system.

"Parker, there was a reason I told them. Maybe we should get some breakfast and talk?" William answered. "That's a good idea, let's head out now. Matt you are more then welcome to join us" Richard spoke up. "I'm not going anywhere with anyone. No offence, I know you are William's dad but why are you here?" Parker stated. "That's what we wanted to talk to you about" Leon stated.

Parker glared at her eldest brother. "I don't know what you are doing here, Leon. But you can go right back to where you came from. I have nothing to say to you" Parker spat. Leon was shocked, he had never heard Parker speak like that at all. "I deserved that Parks and I'm sorry for hurting you" Leon stated. He would accept her anger for letting her down. He had been angry at himself for what he had done to his baby sister.

"Parker, can we please go somewhere to discuss why we are here?" Richard asked. He was so nervous and yet he wanted to grab his daughter and pull her into a hug and never let her go. "If you are here to make me come home. I am home this is my mob now so you can be on your merry way" Parker stated firmly. She wasn't going to allow some fella she didn't know dictate to her. "Parks, please can we talk?" William asked. He wanted to get on his knees and beg her at this point. This definitely was not the Parker he knew. She had been kind, caring and sweet. This Parker held fire in her eyes and wasn't going to bow to anyone.

"William you know exactly what they did to me. Well what they didn't do. You were there for my birthday when I pathetically sang to myself. You were there at my graduation which they so conveniently forgot. I won't be treated like I'm a slave by those people again" Parker fumed out. "For Christ sake William you were more of a brother to me then they ever were" Parker yelled. "I know Parks, but that's why we need to talk. I am your brother. My dad and your mum got together" William rushed out as Parker went to storm out of the kitchen.

"What?" Parker asked. "Parker please sit down so I can explain" Richard asked. He wanted to have a proper conversation about it all and yet it was not going the way he had hoped. "Sis, you need to listen to em. I wouldn't of called you in if I didn't think you needed to hear this. You know I won't let anyone screw you over Parks" Matt added. Parked nodded and sat at the table. "Matty, can you make me some peanut butter toast please?" Parker asked sweetly. Matt shook his head at Parker. "I'll do it" Jude stated wanting to do something for his sister. Parker rolled her eyes and mumbled "forget it".1
