Trapped by My Crush's Dad

Chapter 27: Good Morning

Chapter 27: Good Morning

Mila's pov

Mr. Williams motioned for me to be quiet as he pulled on clothes. I nodded obediently, feeling disappointed to see his muscular body covered up. After pulling out a silk robe from his walk-in closet, he tied it over his pajamas walking to the door.

Casually, he opened it and left. I listened intently, hoping to pick up on some of their conversation.

"Everett, what are you doing banging on my door? I was sleeping."

"I need to talk to you. What does it sound like?" Everett bleated.

"It sounds like you're behaving entitled, just like we discussed," Mr. Williams had an edge to his voice as it became more commanding.

"This isn't entitlement. I have a real problem."

"Then stop acting like a hoodlum and talk."

"I'm not a hoodlum!" Everett exclaimed.

"I gave you a deadline to sort yourself out, but you haven’t followed through. Why don’t you do what I've asked?"

"I've tried. What more do you want from me?" Everett asked.

"I want you to get your life together. For one, stop drinking and driving. From the looks of you, you've been out all night."

"You already took my car from me. Isn't that lesson enough? If anything, you've made me more like a child, having to rely on other people."

"You got yourself into this mess all on your own. If you need a ride somewhere you can call around."

I could hear the angst in Everett's voice as he said, "All my electronics died yesterday. I have no phone to contact anyone. I can't even message a friend."

Holding my chest, I exhaled in relief. As long as he hadn't uploaded anything to the cloud, he couldn't use my photos to control me anymore. That was a stroke of luck.

"Fine," Mr. Williams said, "I'll let you order a replacement."

"Good," Everett replied, "I mean, thank you."

"That's right," Mr. Williams said, "You do mean thank you." I waited to hear Everett leave but he didn't. "Is there something more?" Mr. Williams asked, sounding peeved.

"Did Mila show up here yesterday?"

My stomach tied in knots as I wondered if Everett saw me. Had I somehow blown my cover? Straining to keep quiet, I held my breath waiting for the answer.

"No, and I suggest you stop obsessing over her. She deserves your respect. You could potentially ruin decades of friendship between our families with your pushiness."

"Respect? She's a-"

"Stop," Mr. Williams said, cutting him off. "We can talk over breakfast but not before you take a shower. You smell horrible."

I could hear Everett sigh then tromp down the hall. He slammed a door close by then there was the sound of water running. I wondered what he had gotten up to if he was out all night.

For a moment it was silent then I heard the doorknob turning. My heart was racing as I touched my neck nervously. Mr. Williams came back in and shook his head, sighing. Though he seemed calm, my eyes were still glued to the door.

"Do you think Everett is just faking and actually knows I'm here?" I whispered, wiping my clammy hands on my pants.

"No, he has no idea."

Exhaling in relief, I held my chest then nodded, dropping my chin. As I stared at the unfamiliar bedspread, it sparked my interest about what happened the night before. Picking my head up, I caught his eye.

"How did I get in your room?" I asked, leaning in closely.

"You needed rest, so I carried you. I hid your shoes before the cleaner came. There isn't a trace of you being here.”

Hopefully, he did it when I was naked. The thought of him carrying me around his house into the master bedroom in the nude was hot.

"Thanks," I began feeling my cheeks burn. Just being here in his room was sexy. "So, what's the deal with Everett's electronics?"

Mr. Williams shrugged and smirked. At first, I didn't get it, but then I laughed covering my mouth. His jokes were magic. Would he prank his own son?

"You did something didn't you?" I asked him. He chuckled but didn't explain. Instead, he came closer then kissed my forehead. My hair fell forward, and he took the stray lock, tucking it behind my ear. I tilted my head gazing at him.

As he sat back, I held my chin in my hand. I batted my eyelashes at him and grinned, touching the edge of his shirt robe. It was soft and silky. Running my fingers along the outside of the collar, I stared between his legs.

He chuckled when he saw where I was focused.

"Everett and I are going to have breakfast. Once we are gone, you can go."
