Chapter 18 Astrid! Promise Me To Live Well!

Chapter 18 Astrid! Promise Me To Live Well!

Joey did not dare to hide anything and said fearfully, "the child was born, but Miss Noelle had no relatives. She could only send the child out of prison to her former inmate, who took the child for four years. Later, Miss Noelle was released, and she picked up the child and left Bronzewood!"

Blake sneered, "So that child is my?"

"I think so. But to be safe, we should do a paternity test to be sure." Joey replied respectfully.

Blake did not speak again. He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking silent for a long time, and then slowly turned around, "Joey, prepare to go to Cloud Coast tomorrow. Bring the child back first!"

Joey froze, then said respectfully, "Got it!"

Felix couldn't stand it. Even if Blake wanted to bring the child back, shouldn't he talk to Astrid, the child's mother, no matter what!

"Blake, even if you want to bring back the child, shouldn't you say something to Astrid? After all, she is the mother of the child!"

Blake was still standing in place, his handsome face reflected in the floor-to-ceiling windows, and he said ruthlessly, "No need!"

......

Astrid seemed to have a long dream in which she was still the noble Miss in her family. She was in a white dress, sitting barefoot on a banyan tree in her mansion. She saw a man from afar wearing a white shirt. His eyes were as dark as ink, and he smiled brighter than the sun.

She said proudly to the man, “I am Astrid of the Noelle family. Who are you?”

The man walked to the tree and said indifferently, “Blake.”

From then on, everything Astrid did was all for him.

He once said, “Astrid, wait for me. When I take charge of the Ledger family, I will come to marry you!”

But the next second, what appeared in her mind was a bright red. There were many ugly and humiliating faces. Only Anne was good to her. But Anne died in that dark place. That year Anne was only twenty-three years old. In her flower-like age, she died because of protecting her.

Astrid owed no one in her life but Anne.

She could see Anne covered in blood and holding her in her dream. Anne took her last breath before falling into her arms. Before dying, Anne said with a smile, "Astrid, I didn’t deserve to live. But I am delighted that I can meet you and protect you..."

Astrid would never forget the look in Anne's clear eyes as she looked out into the brilliant blue sky, "Astrid, promise me, no matter how hard it is, live well!"

Memories were still as painful as ever, so painful that Astrid curled up her body. Her tears unconsciously soaked the pillowcase.

Seeing Astrid trembling badly on the bed, Sammy thought she was in too much pain and hurriedly rushed to call her, "Astrid, Astrid..."

Hearing someone call her name, Astrid snapped out of her pain and looked blankly at her surroundings before realizing she had been brought to the hospital. She turned her head to look at the person sitting beside her, "Sammy..."

"Oh, God! You finally woke up. You scared me!"
